Green Alliance Report recommends changes to

The Green Alliance have published a report highlighting that current agricultural farm subsidies contribute to an increased risk of flooding. They believe that government funding could be more cohesive.  They recommend three major changes to support natural flood defences. Read more.

Deadline for Property Flood Resilience Grants extended to 31st March 2017

The Property Flood Resilience Grant Scheme currently helps those affected by the December 2015 storms to protect their property by funding additional flood defence work in their homes and businesses. The grant is worth up to £5,000

The deadline for applications has now been extended to the 31st March 2017 and the deadline for the work to be completed is extended to 30th June 2017 .

Government flooding report anticipates 20-30% more extreme downpours

Concrete + Rain = Flash Floods
